Meet the Team

He had a long time passion in Broadcasting and started presenting a Punjabi Show at a Community Radio SWR 99.9fm. His passion with the love of music developed from there to open a Radio Station which would serve our Hindi and Punjabi speaking Indian Community thus the long planning was fulfilled when we went on air on the 13 of April 2020 despite of Covid-19.

This platform is to provide knowledge and views of any individual interested in broadcasting and willing to learn how to produce and present. And above all the aim is to provide our community with the services available within Western Sydney as well as some entertainment as well.

Sheila has decades of Broadcasting Experience behind her – she started broadcasting at a very first ever narrow-casting radio – Radio Navtarang in Newtown Sydney and from their she joined a Community Radio SWR 99.9FM. Her passion of broadcasting led her to join the Chahat Media Group.

Having the technology today, radio still remains the medium that reaches the widest audience all over the world in the quickest possible time and this is the reason few of us friends started Radio Chahat – “Dil Ki Chahat” a 24 hour 7 days online radio.

He is a well known musician and is an aspiring singer in Sydney. Alankar ji grew up in Rajasthan and at a very early age took interest in singing and gave auditions for school functions, including taking part in many state level and national level competitions. He pursued his singing alongside engineering. Now he is a well know and famous RJ with Radio Chahat. He has interviewed many Bollywood singers, music and movie directors in his renowned Radio show Baato Baato Main.

I started my career in art/drama since high school. As my career progressed in the arts and drama, I acted in several theatre plays.
After migrating to Australia, I decided to restart my career in the entertainment industry after 10yrs. I love to act, dance and I do kids entertainment shows on the weekend. I have been fortunate enough to act in a Punjabi film here in Sydney as well I have now been given the opportunity to pursue my interest and passion in broadcasting.

Hi I am Saloni. I started my career in the entertainment industry a very long time ago. During this time, I gained experience in comedy, acting, hosting, dubbing, entertaining, anchoring and voice overs.
I have had a wide variety of experience from being a finalist of a Punjabi comedy show “Laughter Da Master 2”, acted in a Punjabi shirt movie, hosted shows for international Punjabi shows to acting in Punjabi/Hindi stage drama here in Australia and many more. I have now ventured out to the world of broadcasting.

Former planning officer at the department of town and country. studied at G.N.E college Ludhiana and is from Chandigarh India. My strong religious belief in Sikhism and passion for music has given me the opportunity to embark on a new journey as a Radio Broadcaster with Radio Chahat Australia

I studied electrical engineering. I work behind the scenes at Radio Chahat as technical support, organising all networking and IP systems and ensuring everything is running smooth.

I enjoy sports and problem solving.
